Rendezvous & Proximity Operations Engineer

We are currently seeking a senior systems engineer to work on Rendezvous & Proximity Operations (RPO) supporting an industry partner. 

Technical capabilities and expertise needed for design or Systems Engineering of these systems:

• Orbit dynamics, flight dynamics, conjunction analysis, mission planning, astrodynamics
• Sensors - optical, radar, LIDAR
• Propulsion - both large delta-V and fine maneuvers
• Attitude knowledge and control for large and fine adjustments
• Robotics - contact, manipulation, adjustments, servicing
• On-board processing and decision making, flight software
• Data storage and transfer
• Communications - RF and optical, real-time and delayed, cross-link and direct to host/parent/ground

Required Qualifications: 

• BS in an engineering discipine with minimum of 5 years experience required, MS in engineering discipline with 10 years experience desired  
• Must be a US citizen
• Must have a current active TS/SCI US government clearance
• Must agree to consent to polygraph, if needed

The typical pay range for this position is USD $180,000 - $240,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
