Jr. Software Systems Engineer for Space Development Agency Satellite Program

This role provides a unique opportunity to support end-to-end satellite system support to a commercial company delivering satellites to the Space Development Agency.

Your Impact in this Role:

The successful applicant will integrate into the factory team, providing software systems engineering support in a dynamic, high-paced environment.  You will assess the end-to-end verification to document a technically accurate, timely, and compliant system. You will ensure the system documentation reflects the as-built and as-tested software while communicating how design reference mission requirements are satisfied. The ideal candidate will be familiar with standard systems engineering process (e.g., risk, configuration control, requirements allocation, requirements verification, etc), have test and evaluation experience at the system, segment, or component level and be experienced in executing agile software development processes.  Work will be primarily conducted at Denver, CO.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
• 3+ years of experience in satellite ground software
• U.S. Citizen with ability to gain Secret Clearance

Desired skills:

• Master’s degree in STEM field
• Experience in Ground system build out and test

Location/Travel Requirements:

• Primary location – On-site at customers facility in the Denver, CO area

Compensation:

The typical pay range for this position is USD $65,000 - $105,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using contractor and/or government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
