Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role, you’ll be providing hands-on systems engineering and programmatic leadership to develop and implement next generation satellite capabilities.

 

For this role, key qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with customers at all levels, partners, and colleagues
  • Experience in developing and implementing new space hardware systems (satellite and/ subsystem level)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced commercial environments and enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams on a diverse array of challenges related to satellite system development and implementation
  • Experience managing external commercial customer interface
  • BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems preferred)
  • Must be a US citizen or greencard holder
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with customers at all levels, partners, and colleagues
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently and in a team

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Spacecraft System Engineering expertise including but not limited to leading design trades, requirements decomposition, supplier evaluation, end-to-end architecture concepts, CONOPS development, ICD development, and creating technical proposals
  • Experience in developing and implementing new satellite systems and with scaled production 
  • Experience in development and management of production systems, including tools, SW, schedule


Candidate may have experience in one of many of the following:

  • Subsystem design and analysis, Systems Architecture development, bus systems engineering, electrical system design, mechanical system design, TTC, Comm payload design, Orbit Dynamics, GNC/ ACS design, and design for manufacture and test

  • Domain expertise across a spectrum of technical domains such as:  space environments analysis and test, PMP, thermal design/ analysis/ test, structural design/ analysis/ test, reliability, launch and mission analysis, ground system design

The typical pay range for this position is USD $160,000 - $250,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package)
