Stellar Solutions is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) as a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analyst for multiple satellite payloads on multiple SIGINT platforms.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and work with the multiple payloads to support collection of requirements, translating those requirements into technical solutions and providing information on how current solutions can satisfy mission needs
  • Support end to end (E2E) closure of mission thread for new satellite system with new payloads
  • Support the mission for Transition to operations
  • Support mission requirements, so that when development contractors identify a spec non­-compliance the SME can assess the significance of the outage to mission degradation
  • Understand the mission data flow from the satellite sensor through processing and how subsystems contribute to and are integrated to support the mission
  • Responsible for data quality and performance assessments
  • Collaborate as necessary with other DSPO Divisions, the NRO Enterprise, Users and Stakeholders and development contractors
  • Provide subject matter expertise support to satellite engineers and integrated product teams
  • Support the training of mission operators and analysts
  • Identify early, pre-launch test opportunities to reduce risk and on-orbit validation test durations
  • Working with other SIGINT staff members and Users, support the definition of the next generation mission capabilities

Required Qualifications: 

  • Technical degree and 10+ years' experience with SIGINT systems
  • Experience working in a satellite systems program office or a satellite development facility Knowledge of and understanding of SIG INT tools used within the community
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Travel within the US less than 0-20% of the time
  • TS/SCI w CI Poly

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Overhead SIGINT systems Operational experience in this mission area
  • LSPO program experience
  • Technical Master's degree
  • Experience in all phases of space systems life-cycle

The typical pay range for this position is USD $160,000 - $190,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
