Stellar Solutions is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to l
ead the mission engineering team in the development, integration, and testing of space systems in support of SDA Tranche 3 Systems Integration.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Join the team getting systems engineering and integration development done at an accelerated pace for a government customer. We are looking for mission focused engineers accustomed to automated engineering, program and task management tools at senior and mid-career levels to anchor our larger team with their core strengths

 

  • Ensure that all mission systems meet performance specifications, technical standards, and mission objectives.
  • Provide technical oversight throughout the lifecycle of mission-related systems, from concept design to operational deployment.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., systems, software, hardware) to ensure alignment with mission goals and technical requirements.
  • Support the resolution of complex engineering challenges that arise during the integration and testing phases.
  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and review their work to ensure quality standards are met.

Required Skills

  • At least 10 years of experience in space acquisitions with a focus on system development, integration, and testing.
  • Expertise in mission engineering, with a solid understanding of space systems and their operational requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Experience with the integration of multidisciplinary systems and successful system-level testing.

 

Required Education:

  • Master’s degree in a technical field

  • Position location is Chantilly, VA with consideration for Aurora, CO

The typical pay range for this position is USD $165,000 - $210,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.
