Stellar Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated financial management professional to support Space Systems Command, Space Sensing Directorate in El Segundo, CA. This position provides management and advisory support in a dynamic, high-paced environment while guiding Missile Warning, Missile Tracking, and Missile Defense space and ground programs budget decisions.  The financial management SME will be responsible for consolidating, organizing and assessing financial information from multiple programs and reporting on financial metrics to senior leadership.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

This Subject Matter Expert will coordinate across the Space Sensing directorate to assure the government’s effective execution of government budget across the Space Sensing portfolio in accordance with government regulations and benchmarks for obligations and expenditures. The ideal candidate will be an expert in standard acquisition and government funding processes and familiar with standard program management tools.

 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Coordination of budget needs across the government program portfolio
  • Organizing and presenting consolidated budget execution metrics to senior leadership
  • Familiar with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and JTR (Joint Travel Regulations)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and timely reporting is a must
  • Ability to work with senior military/government officials
  • Ability to meet and enforce deadlines
  • Proactive learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of personal integrity

Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 20 years of experience in government financial management processes
  • Experience with the OPIR mission areas
  • Experience with CCARS
  • U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
  • SME level knowledge of the PPBE process and it’s applicability to USSF acquisitions
  • Acquisition PM level 2 equivalent


Desired Skills: 

  • MS degree 
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Acquisition PM Level III equivalent
  • Space experience in the mission areas of OPIR
  • Mission Partner/Stakeholder relations

 

Security Clearance & Other Requirements: 

  • U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
  • Position is located at Los Angeles AFB, CA – Note: Position can be hybrid with travel expected to be 25% or less. 

 

 

Compensation:

The typical salary range for this position is USD $175,000 - $195,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
