Stellar Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior SME with a background in OPIR Mission Processing Integration.  This position provides technical management and advisory support in a dynamic, high-paced environment while guiding Next Generation OPIR technical decisions.  The SME will be responsible for assisting the prime contractor with integration to other government programs.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with software development using both waterfall and agile processes.  Have SME level expertise with legacy SIBRS systems and be familiar with the new systems under development. They will have a mindset of continual improvement to assist with using the latest tools to move from manual to automated processes. This person should have a proactive learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of personal integrity

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Coordination of ICD requirements between programs
  • Development of SW requirements
  • Familiar with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and JTR (Joint Travel Regulations)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with senior military/government officials
  • Establishing pass/fail criteria for test events and ability find/fix issues with large system of systems integration

Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
  • At least 30 years of experience working with government OPIR or other space programs
  • SME level knowledge of the larger OPIR enterprise that goes beyond specific program knowledge
  • U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances


Desired Skills: 

  • MS degree in a STEM field
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Space experience in the mission areas of OPIR
  • Mission Partner/Stakeholder relations

 

Security Clearance & Other Requirements: 

  • U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
  • Position is located in Boulder, CO – Note: Position is on-site with Travel expected to be 25%. 

 

 

Compensation:

This is a Part-Time postion where the SME is expected to work less than 40 hours per week and will be paid as hourly.  The typical annualized compensation range for this position is approximately, USD $180,000 - $220,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to the hourly compensation rate, this position is also eligible for a profit sharing / retirement plan and Personal Time Off benefits.

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
