Stellar Solutions is seeking an experienced COMSEC Engineer to support secure communications operations, systems integration, and mission readiness for national security customers. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing COMSEC accounts, securing voice and data systems, and working closely with engineering and mission operations teams to ensure communications integrity across enterprise environments.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as COMSEC Manager for program teams, ensuring full compliance with NSA policies, customer directives, and COMSEC account requirements.
  • Manage, load, distribute, and troubleshoot KEYMAT, including OTAT processes, TRKEK keys, secure fill devices, and associated key discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate COMSEC documentation, inventory, and audit-ready records in accordance with regulatory requirements and customer standards.
  • Provide technical support for secure voice and secure data systems, including STE phones, vIPer phones, secure fill devices, and related Type-1 communications equipment.
  • Troubleshoot secure voice and SIP-based communications issues, including packet loss, V.150 protocol challenges, and network compatibility using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure network and infrastructure readiness for secure voice devices and enterprise secure communications solutions.
  • Support planning, installation, and deployment of secure voice solutions across customer sites, including command centers and National Capital Region locations.
  • Investigate outages, document root causes, support remediation, and assist with spillage-related tracking and reporting as needed.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies and Six Sigma practices to streamline processes and enhance secure voice operations.
  • Provide mission support for high-visibility operational environments, including secure communications for leadership, command centers, and enterprise operations.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain required customer accesses.
  • 7+ years of experience in COMSEC operations, secure communications, or related engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with STE, vIPer, secure fill devices, KEYMAT management, and associated secure communications equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of COMSEC policy, NSA directives, key management procedures, and account compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting secure communications for DoD, IC, or national-level operational missions.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve secure voice/data issues across network infrastructures.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Experience supporting secure communications in high-visibility mission environments such as WHCA, NMCC, FBI, or similar organizations.
  • Familiarity with Service Manager or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and/or Six Sigma process improvement techniques.
  • Prior military communications or federal secure communications background.
