Stellar Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineering Process Engineer to support the SN SE&I program in executing transition and delivery of large-scale platform architectures across on-premise and cloud environments. This role directly supports mission-critical integration and test operations and requires strong systems engineering discipline across software release, deployment, and secure multitenant operations. The position is well suited for an engineer who can bridge technical process rigor with collaboration across government, FFRDC, and partner teams.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

This role helps drive disciplined systems engineering processes that support integration, deployment, and operational readiness for large-scale mission platforms. The Systems Engineering Process Engineer will contribute across configuration management, technical assessments, integration planning, and systems engineering coordination in support of customer objectives.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Support transition and delivery of large-scale platform architectures across on-premise and cloud environments
  • Contribute to mission-critical integration and test operations through disciplined systems engineering execution
  • Support modern software release and deployment activities across secure multitenant environments
  • Apply DevSecOps-informed practices to software deployment and operational support activities
  • Develop and execute configuration management plans and related engineering process artifacts
  • Perform technical assessments of software deployment processes and systems integration activities
  • Participate in integration working groups and coordinate with program stakeholders
  • Conduct system configuration reviews, configuration audits, and software deployment procedures
  • Collaborate with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teams to achieve program goals
  • Provide systems engineering expertise to the program office in support of delivery and mission execution

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive process engineering experience with 5+ years of experience in systems engineering on national security-related space programs
  • 3+ years of experience performing systems integration or software deployment processes on large-scale platform architectures
  • Experience performing system configuration reviews, configuration audits, or software deployment procedures
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teammates to achieve program goals
  • Ability to be highly motivated and demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in acquisition, systems engineering, or test and evaluation of the ground segment of a space system
  • Experience leading a team for development of integration and test plans and schedules for large-scale ground systems
  • Experience leading test and evaluation programs for space or ground systems
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is desired
  • All positions require at least 2-3 days per week on site; meetings and schedules may require additional on-site support

Compensation:

The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $115,000 - $143,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
