Stellar Solutions is seeking a Mid Data Analytics Engineer with experience in geospatial analysis, data analysis, and statistical modeling techniques to support the design and technical evolution of prototype demonstrations for a Government space customer. This role provides development, operational, and analytic support for rapid prototype demonstrations and technology evolution efforts, helping advance new capabilities through demonstration, Government evaluation, and integration into existing enterprise architectures.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Mid Data Analytics Engineer will work as part of a technical and program management team supporting space vehicle operations, acquisition activities, and rapid technology evolution. The role operates in a dynamic, high-paced environment where data-driven analysis, software development, and coordination across technical and program stakeholders help accelerate multi-mission ground and on-orbit demonstrations in support of warfighter needs and technology transition.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide data systems development, operational, and analytic support for prototype demonstrations and technology evolution projects.
  • Apply geospatial analysis, data analysis, and statistical modeling techniques to support technical evaluations and program objectives.
  • Support rapid prototype demonstrations through Government evaluation and technology evolution activities.
  • Assist technical and program management teams with space vehicle operations and acquisition activities.
  • Integrate new capabilities into existing enterprise architectures.
  • Support Government approval processes for multi-mission ground and on-orbit demonstrations.
  • Apply software development and spatial data science workflows, including Python and MATLAB, to support mission and analytical needs.
  • Evaluate data and analytical results to inform technical and program decisions.
  • Support program management processes associated with rapid acquisition and prototype execution.
  • Contribute within agile software development processes and small, fast-paced operational teams.
  • Support rapid, accurate decision-making in dynamic operational environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 3 years of STEM-related experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with space program data sources and methods, including familiarity with advanced technology programs.
  • At least 1 year of program management experience.
  • Experience working in small-team, fast-paced operational environments requiring accurate and rapid decision-making.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience with software development.
  • Experience with space-based systems.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Experience with Geospatial Intelligence or Overhead Persistent Infrared data or products.

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances.
  • Work will be primarily conducted in Boulder, Colorado.
  • Ability to travel within the United States as needed to support program execution activities.

Compensation

The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately USD $102,000 - $133,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a comprehensive total rewards package that includes an annual performance bonus, an employer-funded Profit-Sharing Plan (PSP) contribution based on base compensation, comprehensive employer-paid medical benefits, PTO pay-out options, and additional company-sponsored benefits. These benefits represent an additional 30-40% of base compensation for a total compensation package.

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using SMC and/or government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
